Short, chunky and full of charm. The Stubby Ribbed Triangle Top Pillar has the same deep ribs and pointed top as the rest of the Triangle Top family, packed into a sturdy little candle about 8 cm tall and 5 cm wide. It sits happily on a side table, a bathroom shelf or a small plate in the middle of the table. Hand-poured in pure beeswax by us, the beekeepers based in Montreal.

Group it with the Small and Large Ribbed Triangle Top Pillars for a set of three heights, or slip it into a stocking on its own. Lit, it glows warm and golden with a soft honey scent.

Short and sturdy, pure and simple: This stubby pillar is 107 g of pure beeswax. Beeswax melts at a higher temperature than soy wax, so it burns more slowly and lasts longer. The flame is brighter, with a warm golden glow, and it gives off a soft natural honey scent, where soy wax smells of almost nothing unless fragrance is added.

What is the Stubby Ribbed Triangle Top Pillar candle made of?

100% pure beeswax. That's the whole list. No paraffin, no added fragrance, no dyes. The golden colour and the soft honey scent come straight from the hive.

What is the white dust on my beeswax candle?

It's called bloom. Pure beeswax naturally grows a thin, whitish haze over time, especially somewhere cool. It's harmless, and it's actually a sign you've got the real thing. To bring back the shine, gently buff the candle with a soft cloth, or warm it for a few seconds with a hair dryer on low until the haze melts away. Bloom can come back, and you can repeat this as often as you like. (Some people love the vintage look and leave it!)

Will my candle look exactly like the photo?

Not exactly, and that's part of the charm. Each candle is poured by hand in small batches, and beeswax is famously temperamental. Tiny bubbles, small marks, slight colour differences or little imperfections can happen, so your candle may look a little different from the one in the photo.

How do I burn the Stubby Ribbed Triangle Top Pillar candle safely?

Stand it on a heat-safe plate or tray. On the first burn, let it burn long enough for the melted wax to spread close to the edge, so it doesn't tunnel later. Trim the wick to about 6 mm before each lighting and keep it away from drafts so it burns evenly. Never leave a lit candle unattended or within reach of children and pets.

What's the difference between the Triangle Top pillar sizes?

They share the same ribbed design and pointed top in three sizes. The Stubby is short and chunky (about 8 cm tall, 5 cm wide, 107 g), the Small is tall and slim (about 11 cm tall, 4 cm wide, 100 g), and the Large is our biggest triangle top pillar (416 g). Together they make a nice set of three heights.
