Our Small Spiral Candle is a little golden ball wrapped in chunky twisting swirls, each one finely ribbed, so it looks like it's mid-twirl even when it's sitting perfectly still. Small candle, big difference: Because beeswax melts at a higher temperature than soy wax, even a little 60 g candle like this one burns slowly and lasts longer. You also get a brighter, warmer flame, plus a natural honey scent, while plain soy wax smells of almost nothing.

What is the Small Spiral candle made of?

100% pure beeswax. That's the whole list. No paraffin, no added fragrance, no dyes. The golden colour and the soft honey scent come straight from the hive.

What is the white dust on my beeswax candle?

It's called bloom. Pure beeswax naturally grows a thin, whitish haze over time, especially somewhere cool. It's harmless, and it's actually a sign you've got the real thing. To bring back the shine, gently buff the candle with a soft cloth, or warm it for a few seconds with a hair dryer on low until the haze melts away. Bloom can come back, and you can repeat this as often as you like. (Some people love the vintage look and leave it!)

Will my candle look exactly like the photo?

Not exactly, and that's part of the charm. Each candle is poured by hand in small batches, and beeswax is famously temperamental. Tiny bubbles, small marks, slight colour differences or little imperfections can happen, so your candle may look a little different from the one in the photo.

How do I burn the Small Spiral candle safely?

Shaped candles like this one are made to be admired as much as burned. If you light yours, set it on a plate, since the wax will pool as the shape melts down. Trim the wick to about 6 mm before each lighting. Burn on a heat-safe plate, away from drafts, and never leave a lit candle unattended or within reach of children and pets.

Does a beeswax candle smell like honey?

A little, in the nicest way. We add no fragrance, so what you smell is the natural scent of the wax: soft, warm and lightly honeyed, a bit stronger once the candle is lit. It's a good pick if you find scented candles too strong.
