Meet the sweetest little guy in the hive. Our Honeycomb Bear is giving a big hug to a chunk of honeycomb, and honestly? Same. Hand-poured in pure beeswax by us, the beekeepers based in Montreal, he's the perfect stocking stuffer, gift topper or tiny dose of joy for a windowsill, a desk or the holiday table.

Light him up for a warm, golden glow and a soft honey scent. Or don't! Plenty of people keep him as a cheerful little decoration (we won't judge).

Beeswax or soy? Easy choice: He's made of 50 g of pure beeswax. Beeswax melts at a higher temperature than soy wax, so when you do light him, he'll burn slowly and last longer. The flame glows brighter, and you'll notice a soft honey scent that soy wax just can't offer without added fragrance.

What is the Honeycomb Bear candle made of?

100% pure beeswax. That's the whole list. No paraffin, no added fragrance, no dyes. The golden colour and the soft honey scent come straight from the hive.

What is the white dust on my beeswax candle?

It's called bloom. Pure beeswax naturally grows a thin, whitish haze over time, especially somewhere cool. It's harmless, and it's actually a sign you've got the real thing. To bring back the shine, gently buff the candle with a soft cloth, or warm it for a few seconds with a hair dryer on low until the haze melts away. Bloom can come back, and you can repeat this as often as you like. (Some people love the vintage look and leave it!)

Will my candle look exactly like the photo?

Not exactly, and that's part of the charm. Each candle is poured by hand in small batches, and beeswax is famously temperamental. Tiny bubbles, small marks, slight colour differences or little imperfections can happen, so your candle may look a little different from the one in the photo.

How do I burn the Honeycomb Bear candle safely?

Figure candles are made to be admired as much as burned. If you light yours, set it on a plate, since the wax will pool as the shape melts down. Trim the wick to about 6 mm before each lighting. Burn on a heat-safe plate, away from drafts, and never leave a lit candle unattended or within reach of children and pets.

Can I keep the Honeycomb Bear as a decoration instead of burning it?

Absolutely. Pure beeswax doesn't spoil, so he can sit on a shelf or windowsill for years. Keep him out of direct sun and away from heaters so his details stay crisp, and if a white haze (bloom) shows up, a quick buff with a soft cloth brings the shine back.
